Being Creative Teacher

 In the school, we find so many types of teachers.  Based on my experiences, I have found teacher who only assigned students to finish assignments.  Everyday, students finished the assignments without explanation or discussion. Therefore, it would make the students become bored and don’t have motivation to study.  Did my experiences also happen in your life?

        Then, what should teachers do to create good atmosphere for students?  My answer is teacher should be creative.  Creative here means that teacher can modify the learning process in the class. The learning process should engage all of the students so they have to participate actively.

       What kinds of activities that can engage students?

Group discussion is activity which students work in a group.  In the group, they can share each others so it improves their knowledge and build their critical thinking.

     Making Projects

  Making projects is activity to make students be creative and think out of the box. The project work can be done individually or in a group.  For examples of projects:  making poster, drama etc.

Presentation

Presentation

 Presentation is activity to give students’ opportunity to speak based on the topic. This presentation will make students become confidence and improve their speaking skill.

Review 9 Matahari Novel

9 Matahari is a novel written by Adenita.  This novel got achievement as national best seller novel in 2009.

      "“Aku memang berhasil lulus kuliah. Bukan hanya membawa ilmu, tapi juga utang kuliah. Utang atas nama diriku, bukan orang tuaku. Utang atas nama semua ilmu yang kuserap dari bangku kuliah dan kepingan pengalamannya. Utang atas pembentukan karakter diri. Semua itu adalah tanggung jawab pribadi atas sebuah impian. Semua itu juga adalah harga yang harus aku tukar dengan sebuah pengalaman duduk di bangku kuliah dan sejuta pengalaman berharga lainnya. Aku tidak merasa jumlah dan kewajiban itu sebagai beban karena aku tahu harga itu memang pantas untuk aku jadikan ”investasi” hidupku.

        The main actor here is Matari Anas.  She has a big spirit to continue her study in a college even though she really knows that their family doesn't support because of financial problem.  But, she never gives up.  She tries to loan money from her family.  Finally, she gets the money and she enters university.  In the middle of study, she always loan money from her friends to fulfill her needs.  She tries to work as presenter in a radio to help her own financial.  But, it doesn't enough for her.  Therefore, she always loan and loan money again.  But, she never forget to write all of her loan and she promises will give money back.  Finally, she graduates from the college and she works such as in a broadcasting field.

      This novel is really interesting and motivating.  It invites us to be an optimistic person to face the future.  As a teacher candidate, we have to be optimistic.  We have to set in our mind that we must reach our dreams, to be a teacher.  Don't be shy with our condition because with spirit, effort and pray, there will a way for us to reach the dreams.

NO FAST FOOD

      Nowdays, eating can be done in everywhere we want.  There are so many restaurants which are provided various kind of food.  Even, we can get the food only in 5-10 minutes.  Really fast? Yes, this is called as fast food because it is served very fast.       
      But, do you think that fast food is a healthy food?  As you know, fast food contains of salt, fat, high calories, 70% cholesterol but low of fiber which is really need for body.  Therefore, fast food is not health for body, even consuming fast food can cause bad effect.

      Have you ever seen documentary film from Morgan Spurlock which the title is SUPER SIZE ME?  In this movie, Morgan did the research to know the effect of fast food.  He decided himself to be the object of the research.  For the research, he decided to eat fast food 3 times everyday for a month.

What happened after a month? 

1. Obesity

    As the result, he gained 11,1 kilogram.

2. 13 % his body mass increase

3. His cholesterol level became 230

4. He got mood swings, sexual dysfunction and fat accumulation to his

    liver

Being heath is started from ourself.  So, Let's say no to Fast Food!

        I totally agree with that lyric from KUNCI.  We have so many differences each other.  But, forget it.  Don’t make it to be a problem in our life.  Eventhough we are different, but we are the same actually.  We are one in a unity.  So, forget our differences and let’s reach our dream together.
